  1. You can just click "turn off buzz" in the footer to remove it from Gmail. You can re-enable it at any time.

  2. Yes – but you have to make sure you've unfollowed/blocked everyone Google automatically set you up with first – or you are essentially still participating, and those relationships are still public.

    I LOVE Google, but I was shocked at how tone-deaf this is – if you're going to default to public, there needs to be a lot more information available on how to adjust that, and a lot more clarity on how to do so.

  3. I hated it at first but now that I have the buzz notifications filtered to skip the in box, I am starting to actually kind of like it.

  4. On the other hand… Coming on the heals of the Facebook fiasco, you’d think they would have taken it into account before hand. “That” would have truely been “listening” to users.
